1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Noshlog ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Noshlog is a calorie tracking application that allows users to scan food barcodes, log daily food intake, and view nutritional summaries. The App stores all user data locally on the device. Barcode scanning is free and will always remain free.

3. Noshlog Pro Subscription

Noshlog offers an optional paid subscription ("Noshlog Pro") with additional features including ad-free experience and CSV data export.

Pricing: Pro Monthly ($2.99/month) or Pro Annual ($19.99/year). Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency in the App.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Cancellation:
- iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Noshlog Pro
- Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions > Noshlog Pro
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.
Free Trial: If a free trial is offered, the unused portion is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.

4. Nutrition Data Accuracy

Noshlog retrieves nutritional information from OpenFoodFacts, a collaborative open-source food database. While we strive for accuracy:

Nutritional data may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated
The App flags potentially suspicious data (e.g., values exceeding 1000 kcal per 100g)
Noshlog is not a medical device and should not be used as a substitute for professional dietary advice
Users should verify critical nutritional information against product packaging

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of manually entered food data
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data (via CSV export)
You must not use the App for any unlawful purpose
You must not attempt to reverse-engineer or modify the App

6. Intellectual Property

Noshlog, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of Lijno. The Noshlog name, logo, and icon are trademarks of Lijno. Nutritional data is sourced from OpenFoodFacts under the Open Database License (ODbL).

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law:

Noshlog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
Lijno is not liable for any health decisions made based on data displayed in the App
Lijno is not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, app uninstallation, or software updates
Lijno's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for Noshlog Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim

8. Availability

We strive to keep Noshlog available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App functions primarily offline, so most features remain available without an internet connection.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

11. Consumer Rights

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Dutch and European consumer protection law, including the right to a 14-day cooling-off period for digital purchases where applicable.
